"Toothy Vengeance"

Films: Shark Hunter (2001)

Alias: None

Type: Ancient

Location: Ocean

Height/Weight: That of a large submarine.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: What better shark to have your film be about than one of the largest sharks to ever haunt the sea? It's genius, is what it is...now if only the premise was better.

History: A while ago, Dr. Spencer Northcut's parents were killed by a Megalodon. Rather interesting, considering those things were supposed to be extinct. But now, he's at the command of the Argus, a massive sub he made, so that he and the rest of his crew can investigate the destruction of an underwater research lab. Alas, the Meg is there, waiting for them...

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After much explosions and death, Spencer decides to just end it all by driving his minisub into the shark's jaws, blowing each other up.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 2.5-One can be forgiven for being unnerved by how often this shark is wreathed in shadow. But that's probably a means of hiding the fact that it's the result of some very mediocre CGI. Also, it's one heck of a slow shark, so there's that against it too.

Trivia: -They say in the film that Megalodon died about 40 million years ago...even though it was recorded in real life as APPEARING 20 million years ago, and dying close to two million years ago.

-This film was directed by Matt Codd, whose talents seem to be more geared towards being in the art department of several successful films.

Shark Retreater is a better title here.

Sorry, but this isn't the Leopard Shark.
Just leave Jaws in his grave already.

"I knew losing that bet would end my life."
"Oh, bother. I'm stuck."
